This concept was swiped for the album cover of Jackson Browne's "Late for the Sky" album. It was acknowledged in the album notes.

For some reason, the phrase "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, shrouded in an enigma" always makes me think of Magritte, even if he isn't very confusing.

More oddly, so does the Simpsons classic "a single plum, floating in perfume, served in a man's hat."

not sure i could do as well in photoshop. still love the old cbs logo. few knew it was a Magritte.
