I miss when deejays were part of the band and the music. Cuttin' and scratchin' records was something I always wanted to do, but didn't have the means to so it with until I got to DCC, and by that time I was well into sampling and composing. Ah well, maybe when things fall into place I'll get what I need and just put stuff out as a hobby...

[1] i tried learning when i was in college. i had the whole setup and everything in my dorm room that i ordered from beat street. i never got that good - i could blend stuff a bit but i didn't really have anyone to teach me anything - the guy that owned the record shop i went to said he would teach me but when i went by his shop all he wanted to do was chit chat.

i have to admit i have never been that big a beastie fan.
