Since the Yanks are in Oakland I figured I'd feature one of the Bay Area's greatest painters...I apologize for not having the title to this painting. It's only "unknown" to me. I'm sure it has a title. Still, I sure like looking at it.

[1] the thick brush strokes and deep colors are definitely reminiscent of van gogh.

if you have a minute, i'd really love for you to check out Clifford Bailey. his music painting are wonderful!!!

btw, word press has been really rough lately, making me put in my password, click the remember box and sign in repeatedly. still usually doesn't work. weird...

really nice painting - i like the deep colors.
i'd love to go to an exhibit of his work.

[2] it's been happening to me a lot too - after you put your password in once, hit the refresh key - that sometimes gets me in right away and keeps me from having to enter my password multiple times

Dag, not sure why that is but I know wordpress had some MAJOR bugs last week and fortunately, we weren't killed by it. (knocking on everything.) Sorry for the hassle. Also, ms. O, you also really like a drawing I posted a few months ago by David Park, another Bay Area king. More on him tomorrow...

this might not be the right thread for this, but...

what happens to the money volquez loses for his suspension? it amounts to $137,000 (which is a TON of freaking $$$ to me!!!).

does the owner of the Reds just keep it? does it get allocated to the team in some fashion? i think it should go to the charity of Volquez's choice. (which should be starving artists of atlanta - specifically a long-haired drummer boy who is a lifelong baseball fanatic - but that's just me...)

volquez said he was trying to start a family. it was a common medical situation and got the meds (peds) from the dominican. perhaps he and manny are both wanting to give birth...
