The God of Hellfire (Bubbalicious, Baby)

Our old pal Josh Wilker will be in town later this week (and into early next week) to promote his critically-praised memoir Cardboard Gods. First up, Thursday night. Josh will be featured at a No Mas event at the Nike Store in Soho from 7:30-9:30. He’ll be reading from the book and signing copies too. Oh, and there’ll be a bubble-blowing contest as well.

I’m so there.

i'm so jealous.

man, i wish i could be there. i'm a big wilker fan. in fact, i just bought his book as a b-day gift for my big brother - the one who idolized reggie, loved baseball, collected baseball cards, adored the yankees...and got me to do the same. baseball and the yankees are still one of our biggest bonds.

i can't wait to give him this gift. i've had the idea for like 6 months now. his birthday is at the end of the month.

What a Reggie Day! The Boss would be steamed if he knew Reggie upstaged the day his bio went on sale to the public.

I'd love to catch the Wilker event, but I think I may go to the Yogi Museum to catch Madden talk about the Steinbrenner book. I can't wait to get my copy.

2) he's going to be at GCentral Station on Monday night on a bill with Greg Prince. Maybe you can make that one...
