Sox-Rays tonight. Go Sox? Funny as it sounds, the answer is, “Yes.”

May they have to play 18 innings each game in the series.

Oh, and the Mudhens have a tribute up to Jose Lima:

Sorry... I will root for TB as I simply can't root for the Sox.
(I will however, hope that TB loses.)

Mudhens score a run off Strasburg! Lead off triple, then a PB after 2 outs. Run is unearned.

And now the Mudhens have an earned run off Strasburg. Some pretty loud outs too.

[6] Do you really think this will happen, or are you just frustrated right now. The Yankee upside is huge, and it great that the Sox and Rays are duking it out right now. It will get better again. There are too many players that are underperforming to their career averages, and Granderson and Posada will be back soon. Plus, there will be an acquistion or two (or three). There is too much at economic stake for management to not make the playoffs.

When i see your handle, I sometime think The Alarmist.

[8] ah, i'm prolly just frustrated, that's all. you're right, of course. and i do believe we'll reach the postseason - possibly even win the division, who knows...

yeah, there's been some confusion on the site about my handle over the years. i've had the nickname for about 14 years now, so it really surprised me here, but i can sorta see it. i think because of the first 3 letters, it throws people off...

it's not:

The Larmis
The Alarmist
=or=
The ...anything...

it's actually a stage name bestowed on me by a wise old man! there's even a middle and last name that goes along with it. just say "thelarmis", like you would "thelonious", as in Monk. there's no relation in the name, but that's how'd you pronounce it! : )

Got it! As Thelonious said "I don't know about what other people are doing- I just know about me" Now I know a little about you. Thanks.

(and I supposed, if he blogged on the Banter and there was no Monk, I would think his handle was The Loniest).

[10] the name is a strange combination of "themis" (the 10th moon of saturn) and the name "lars". don't ask, i didn't come up with it! but, it stuck, so it's mine and i eventually embraced it... : )

[10] Great Monk quote!

thelarmis, i'm with you. I want to see Boston finished by the ASG, hope the Rays take them tomorrow.
