I used to read Asterix the Gaul when I was in elementary school. For a while, you couldn't get away from Peyo and the Smurfs, I read a couple of their comic books as well. The writing and drawing were a lot different from what I was used to; I hadn't discovered graphic novels.

3) Yeah, I grew up with all of those, but in French. Every time one of my mom's family came to visit they'd bring a new Gaston LaGaffe, or Asterix or Boule et Bill...so many great comics from that part of the world...
