Taster’s Cherce

I just happened to be downtown last night, looking for a quick bite, when I realized I was near the Milk Bar. So I stopped in–it was crowded–and ordered the pork buns. A $9 treat. I stood there and savored every bite, knowing I shouldn’t eat too fast, knowing they’d be gone all too soon. But I couldn’t help myself.

And it was worth it.

Haven't had them pork buns (which now I want!) but their compost cookies are heavenly!

Those Pork Buns are the best way I can think of to spend exactly 9 dollars.

4) it's true. There are some things I get really irked about spending money for even though I'm not a frugal person. Like I don't really want to spend more than 8 bucks for a hardcover book at a used bookstore, or more than $35 for a pair of jeans (LOL). But in this case, I'm like "Wow, only $9? I'll take it!"

Hey, I ate at Roberto's the other day -- on Crescent Ave. in Belmont.
It's just my type of place. The seafood risotto, in particular, was just amazing. The homemade pastas, too.

Is that your neighborhood, AB?

I was just about to sit down with some Chinese take-out and I see this. Now I'm mad... >;)
