Keeping Up with the Yankees

The Red Sox are playing the Angels at home tonight. They are 9-0 against the Halos this year, my Goodness. Later on, the Rays play in Oakland.

Free free to fall through and banter.

Man, I know the Angels owned the Yanks for all those years but with only a few exceptions it seems like the Sox just abuse the Angels. Dag.

Ervin Santana owns the BoSox hitters tonight, though.

Rumors of Papi's demise have been greatly exaggerated. (Anyway, they were in late May.)

Feckless gives up 5 ER in 6.1 IP. Halos up 5-1 in the 7th. Sox with all of 2 hits.

Ladies and Gents of the Banter, just read though the game thread from the afternoon battle. Well done! Good Humor man showed up with a delivery, excellent read-through.

I think I dislike Scioscia more than any Red Sox..irrational, but true..

Delcarmen has faced four batters. He's walked three of them.

14 Just Fair   ~  Aug 19, 2010 9:26 pm

[10] He sure is pounding the strike zone. lol....

Hi guys.
[11] 6 ER now. Manny Delcarmen forced in Beckett's last runner with that walk.

[15] How great that Beckett is there for 4 more years?

He has to be still hurt though...can't imagine him going all Igawa on them for no reason..

[17] His first five innings tonight were really good. I was worried, actually.

The Red Sox are about done tonight -- they tried hard to give Santana a 5-pitch inning, but Erick Aybar says no.

19 RIYank   ~  Aug 19, 2010 9:41 pm

Hey, six pitch inning!
Sorry, Erick. I know you wanted to keep playing.

Is this the end for Wake? Mop up man?

20) i will truly be sad the day Wakefield finally hangs them up. I love that guy!

[21] RA Dickey now settled in to be your knuckle man!

[0] AB, if you are still around, where was that photo taken?

Amazing but after being here for so long, NYC at night really seems dimly lit..kind of dark and shadowy. The neon here is oevrwhleming, you can stand on the street and read your paper easily with so much light..

Way to spoil a real nice start, Ervin.

[24] What he do? I showed up and everyone split here..bad intercontinental vibes this mornig?

Kevin Jepsen goes all D-Rob.

Rays have to face Trevor Cahill tonight. It could be a good night.

27 RIYank   ~  Aug 19, 2010 10:02 pm

[25] Loaded the bases with nobody out (he hit Papi on an 0-2 count to fill 'em up).
But Jepsen got out of it giving up only one run, so it's all good.

Sore Little Hoof tonight -- Jed Lowry is playing.
And Saltalamalatalamachilamachia is headed for the DL.

29 Mr. OK Jazz TOKYO   ~  Aug 19, 2010 10:09 pm

[27] Nice, thanks. Let's hope Oakland can take down the mighty Rays!

30 RIYank   ~  Aug 19, 2010 10:13 pm

[29] Cahill's the guy to do it.
Over his last four starts:
32 IP
17 H
1 ER

And two of those were against the Rangers.

31 RIYank   ~  Aug 19, 2010 10:38 pm

Athletics grab an early lead... but I'm not going to watch the rest.
