CC UTK

According to the New York Post:

CC Sabathia was diagnosed with a minor meniscus tear of the right knee that will require surgery, The Post has learned.

Sabathia was diagnosed yesterday at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days. The Yankees do not consider the procedure significant and expect Sabathia to recover within three weeks and be fully ready for spring training.

best wishes for a quick recovery for the big man - who may want to consider being just a little less of the big man for the sake of his knees.
captain obvious here, but if his knee was acting up a bit this could help explain why he didn't look so sharp the last handful of starts.

My one fear about Sabathia two years ago was his knees. You can't be that big and pitch that much without worrying a little about the stress on the knee.

That said, I'm not particularly concerned with this procedure. He'll be back and pitching like Cy Young next year

So both CC & Andy had injuries this past postseason? No wonder Joe wanted to rest people in September.

Wait, does this mean CC is "gutty"? Or "gritty", at least?
