Nah, it’s not snowing today–though we’re expecting more of the white stuff this week–but we’ve hit a dead-spot in Yankee news. Okay, this has been a slow winter all around.
Still, Chad Jennings offers a few tidbits, Steve Lombardi looks at the Yankees’ first round draft picks since 1990, Larry Koestler takes on some 2011 projections, and our man William writes about the passing of former-Yankee Ryne Duren.

Looking at our draft picks, previous to 2004, looks like nothing but misses. In 2004 we got Phil, busted in 2005, and then looks like decent picks from then on.
Considering we always get the worst picks, we have done pretty well since Cashman has been more in play,
Looks like 2/14/2011 for pitchers & catchers. So that's what, still a month away, 35 days?
I'm supposed to get more snow tonight. Cold.
Hate to be self-promoting, but it seems like the link to the Duren piece by that William fellow isn't working!
