man, stardust is one of my three favorite songs (along with september song and lush life). i grew up listening to ben webster. my dad loved him. i love him. nothing like a little sad, wistful, melancholy music.
Man, stardust is just one of those tunes that make me feel so curiously good for listening to such a subdued, doleful song. And I love that there are so many tremendous renditions by an array of musicians. Gotta say, I think Coltrane's version is my favorite though.
