Morning Art

Drawings by Robert Weaver, spring training, 1962.

This morning, Jack Curry tweeted that he arrived at his 20th spring training and the first thing he heard was the thud of a ball hitting a mitt. Color me green with envy.

man, could I use some spring training.
I threw a snowball the other day - missed my target tree by about 15 feet, and if it weren't for my coat, my freshly detached arm might have flown further into the woods than the sputtering snowball. Thankfully, my dog was the only witness, but even he said "Oy. Dude."

Just wonderful. Father very sick in Spring of 1962. Family sent me to visit cousins in North Palm Beach for Winter Break. Went to see the Braves everyday.
