2 Alex Belth   ~  Oct 9, 2011 4:24 pm

Braun! First inning dinger. Then Fielder gets plunked, both benches warned. Weak.

3 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 4:35 pm

early fireworks!

2-1 brew crew

4 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 4:38 pm

looks like a beautiful day in milwaukee.

kinda dark and chilly here...

5 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 4:43 pm

braun's shot (1st) pitch, was gigantic. just crushed.

prince was also hit on the 1st pitch. on his fat arm. to his credit, he just ran up the baseline...

6 rbj   ~  Oct 9, 2011 4:47 pm

Dang, ALCS game already postponed.

7 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 4:57 pm

[6] what? really?!

crap, that sucks. i'll miss the makeup game tomorrow afternoon, due to teaching...

8 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 4:59 pm

greinke has settled in the last coupla innings.

9 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 5:05 pm

wow. nice play by freese to get the hustling braun.

skinny guy up now...

10 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 5:18 pm

oof. 3-run blast for freese. oppo field off a hangin' curve.

fat elvis led off w/ a single, yadier walked, then...boom!

4-2 cards, top 4

11 rbj   ~  Oct 9, 2011 5:52 pm

Offense!

12 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 5:53 pm

wow. after 2 easy innings, greinke got hit hard.

5-2 cards

brew crew start the bottom of the 5th in full on beast mode.

single, double, ground rule double (braun), no doubt about it homer (prince)

6-5 brewers

pitching change. no out. good game. looks like octavio dotel coming in...

13 Alex Belth   ~  Oct 9, 2011 5:54 pm

BING BAM BOOM

14 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 5:56 pm

that throw was worse than johnny damon!

rather comedic!

15 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 5:56 pm

11/13 - company! : )

16 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:00 pm

yuni late on that pretty fat pitch.

gotta get weeks over to 3rd. still no outs!

17 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:01 pm

holy crap. 2-run job for yuni. hanging curve.

8-5 Beer!

18 rbj   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:01 pm

Aw, LaRussa looks sad.

19 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:02 pm

i'm devastated my Yankees aren't playing, but there's been some *incredible* baseball the past coupla weeks.

20 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:08 pm

i don't know that i would've let greinke bat. he's been hit hard in 3 of the 5 innings. the ball is flying around miller park. kameron loe is ready to go.

might've had a chance to score another run here; step on their neck, sweep the leg.

long half-inning. cards have some power, even though the bottom of the lineup is due up. zack could give this shit back immediately.

i would've pinch hit for him...

21 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:14 pm

well, what the fuck do i know.

easy 1-2-3 for greinke.

i'll go back to hitting and kicking things for a living! ; )

22 rbj   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:20 pm

man Braun'ss been unreal at home this post season.

23 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:21 pm

[22] i hope he gets the nl mvp, as well.

24 Alex Belth   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:27 pm

23) Not me. He was great, but had Fielder on his team. Matt Kemp was the most valuable and best player in the league to me. And it's not really that close.

25 rbj   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:31 pm

Zach back?

26 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:31 pm

whoa. greinke is still out there...

[24] i hear ya. i wouldn't be upset if kemp gets it. he was awesome this season!

greinke gone after the leadoff hit to start the 7th.

27 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:44 pm

8-6 after 7

[well, 6.5]

28 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:51 pm

yuni betancourt en fuego. whoda thunk it?

29 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 6:58 pm

brewers get the run back.

9-6

and now, of course - i want Double Digits!!!

30 rbj   ~  Oct 9, 2011 7:11 pm

K-Rod no longer a closer.

31 rbj   ~  Oct 9, 2011 7:12 pm

Oh, and do not interview Nyger.

32 thelarmis   ~  Oct 9, 2011 7:42 pm

mil 1-0

33 Hank Waddles   ~  Oct 9, 2011 8:07 pm

Wait a minute... are they still playing baseball somewhere?

34 cult of basebaal   ~  Oct 9, 2011 8:47 pm

Every morning I wake up, there's this moment of bliss before I remember, oh, wait ... there's no Yankees game today.

That Game 5 pisses me the fuck off.

We should have beaten the Tigers and we were going to stomp the fucking Rangers.

Evidently, getting over this year is going to take a while ...

35 randym77   ~  Oct 9, 2011 8:47 pm

Game rained out tonight. Sigh.

Football's okay, but I'd rather have baseball.

[35] Not much to root for there, either. The lockout did far more for parity than the rules ever could, it seems...
