Come On Back Now, Y’Hear

Some lucky bastards have the whole week off. Others schlepped back to town today and will be back to work tomorrow.

We’ll be here for everyone cause that’s just how we roll.

well, i have this whole week "off" and i had most of last week off, too. but that just means i get to do a ton of work! my own work. i've been putting in 8-10 hour days on different music projects i don't get to pay attention to when i'm teaching all the time.

also, i picked up a half-dozen more classes at the music college and i have a TON of curriculum to learn, so i can teach it all. put in the work now, infuse my own material and i won't have to prepare for these classes for subsequent quarters.

[1] Or, you can kick back on the sofa with some can's of Murphy's Irish Stout and gaze out the window while listening to groovy Nigerian Juju records..oh wait, that's MY week off!

oh, i put in 4 solid nights in a row of kicking back with Full Sail ale (pale one night, amber another, repeat)! i'll get back into that on Wed.

i need to make dents in many millions of projects. i'm doing alright so far. must keep it up! right now, i'm nitpicking over the quality of a chord, as i compose the final piece for the final (3rd) solo cd. one more demo of it and i'm gonna kick back on the futon and watch the new Rush live dvd that's been sitting on the coffee table for several weeks. : )

Oh. And I must buy some new tunes. Thinking of: Florence Welsh, Merrill Garbus, Caitlin Rose, The Black Keys....maybe Adele. Maybe some PJ Harvey. On the retro need to grab some Etta James, too.
