good signing. I'd like to see them use him a little more than last year, give him about 75-80 games between outfield (mostly) and DH.

How many games do we expect Montero to catch?

20-30?

[2] You're probably closer to the actual number than I am, but I'm hoping for more like 65-75.
I'd rather they heavily platoon DH, and get Montero onto the field.

3) 65-75 ain't going to happen, not if he's as much a liability as he's been advertised. Then again, injuries happen so you never know. Wonder if Romine goes in a trade or if he becomes the back-up, back-up. And if Montero is the regular DH does that mean they carry Martin, assuming he stays, and another catcher? Will it be Romine or Cervelli?

From what little I've seen, Montero is serviceable. I would defer to Girardi, and Pena on that though. It would be great for the roster if they could simplify the catching situation planning on Martin for 100 games, Montero for 64, keep Romine in Scranton for an injury call up, or in case Montero is terrible. Cervy? I like him more than some others around here do, but he's expendable - until there's a major injury.

62 ish for Montero, that is - not the oddly precise suggestion of 64.

Yeah, I like Cervelli, he's cute. But my wife loves him and I've been preparing her for heartbreak because I just don't see him lasting.
