It's an interesting read, and helps explain why the Yanks were slow to ease Posada into a starting role.

[2] I'm sure they do, now. But nothing in Posada's profile indicated that he was going to be a great player. Maybe the walk rate, I guess. So it's not one of those Billy Beane cases where you can laugh at how stupid the scouts were.

Mike Piazza was taken in, what, the 56th and last round? And Roger Clemens was a first rounder. Baseball drafts and development is such a crap shoot.
