Wait, rain?

Freeze warning for tonight.

Great job with the weather forecast. .
I don't think I like Kim Jones' replacement (at least not yet)

3 Boatzilla   ~  Apr 11, 2012 6:34 pm

Good to see Grandy moved up in the line up. Makes a lot more sense.

But, so far, after Cano it just kind of fizzles until Gardner.

Alex seems to be getting himself out.

Anyway, nice beginning.

4 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 6:40 pm

Good job, big man.

I tuned in late -- why didn't you guys tell me it was starting???

5 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 6:44 pm

[3] I don't think Raul Ibanez is part of the fizzle.

6 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 6:50 pm

[2] I didn't like her a few days ago. I kind of liked her today. fwiw.

7 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 6:59 pm

This is a very small strike zone. I hope CC can adjust to it.

8 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:00 pm

It!

9 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:00 pm

Dammit.

10 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:03 pm

Oh, now that's a strike.
Gonna be one of those strike zones. The movable kind.

11 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:07 pm

Goddam.
He was sooooo close to getting out of it. So close.

12 Dimelo   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:08 pm

com'on CC

13 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:09 pm

[8] should be oy! Apparently HP doesn't do Yiddish.

14 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:16 pm

Hm, who is going to pitch in relief today? Because we'll need it. No Phelps, C-Wade, or D-Rob. Maybe not even Mo.
Soriano better be ready, broken nail or no. I guess we can expect some Booneage. Maybe CC can get through six? I hope?

15 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:26 pm

[14] Lohud speculated that Hughes might be available with the day off.

16 OldYanksFan   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:27 pm

Just tuned in. Whatsup with CC???

17 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:28 pm

That was close.

18 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:28 pm

[14] There's always Swisher.

19 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:31 pm

[15] Yeah, that's good. That could work.
[16] He looked really, really good for 4 batters and almost the fifth one.

20 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:33 pm

Hoooooooo boy.

21 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:34 pm

Not good CC

22 randym77   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:44 pm

Still tied. :-P

23 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:44 pm

I'd say the big problem is that his really nasty slider is not in the strike zone. So when he gets to two strikes he can't put them away. It was working early, for sure.

24 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:49 pm

Nice inning CC.

25 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:50 pm

Needed that one, for sure.

26 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:53 pm

C'mon! Score a bunch.

27 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:54 pm

Wheel play is on.

28 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:57 pm

PLEASE DO NOT BUNT.

Oh, goody.

29 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:58 pm

Oh man I'm way behind again. Goddam mlb.tv. This is a serious defect with my watching plans.

30 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 7:58 pm

See what swinging away does?

31 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:02 pm

Fucking Horseshit failure. How about a hit with RISP?

32 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:04 pm

[31] I thought Curtis had it.

33 randym77   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:04 pm

That was disappointing. At least we got one.

34 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:07 pm

Ton of foul balls off CC tonight

35 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:12 pm

We'll be lucky to get 6 innings out of CC. Maybe 7.

36 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:12 pm

[35] No more than six. Maybe only five.

37 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:13 pm

Mark Reynolds is one of my least favorite players in baseball.

38 RIYank   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:13 pm

Crap.

39 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:13 pm

Crap

40 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:16 pm

Now would be an excellent time for Alex's first home run.

41 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:17 pm

[40] Followed by Teixeira's first anything

42 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:18 pm

Jeez.

43 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:19 pm

Hey, Alex. The season started.

44 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:20 pm

PULLPULLPULLPULLPULL

45 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:21 pm

[43] Hay Alex, Dr. Hans called from Germany. You accidentally got some of Bartolo Colon's blood. Can you come back for a proper refill?

Ok, maybe that didn't make much sense..

46 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:21 pm

Oh for fuck's sake.

47 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:28 pm

Curtis!

48 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:29 pm

Gutted through 6. Now some runs.

49 randym77   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:32 pm

CC coming back out after 112 pitches doesn't seem like a great idea tonight.

50 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:35 pm

10,000 push-ups!

51 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:44 pm

Yay!

52 rbj   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:44 pm

Tied!

53 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:44 pm

Mine eyes have seen the glory of a 2 out rbi!

54 randym77   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:44 pm

Grandy's earning his paycheck tonight.

55 OldYanksFan   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:59 pm

It's still VERY early, and I'm making NO proclaimation...
But my stomach is feeling like we have a $50m black hole in the middle of the lineup.

Not Pena/Cervelli black hole... but yaknow... it's scary.

And give Andino a gold star.

56 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 8:59 pm

Well it's not an out.

57 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:00 pm

Pinch stand there?

58 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:02 pm

No pinch stand there.

59 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:06 pm

Je never touched second base

60 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:06 pm

Nevermind. I didn't think his hand hit

61 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:07 pm

For the love of Mo. Score Nuney!

62 randym77   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:07 pm

Aw, Swish.

63 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:08 pm

Useless.

64 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:12 pm

Groundhog Day.

65 randym77   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:17 pm

Holy cow. He's got shortstop range.

66 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:23 pm

Oh Eduardo Nunez.

67 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:26 pm

Kevin Gregg is one of those proven closers (TM) that has to love the intricacies of the save rule.

68 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:40 pm

Please not Markakis. I hate Markakis.

69 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:41 pm

Markakis doesn't have a hit in the series?

Oh fuck.

70 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:41 pm

That is not what I meant. IBB. Ugh.

71 Bronx Boy in NC   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:43 pm

I'm stuck on just gamecast - IBB to move the winning run to 3B??? Someone tell me what the f*%k is happening aaarrrrgh...

72 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:44 pm

Whoo-hoo. More free shitty baseball.

73 Bronx Boy in NC   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:44 pm

*whew*

Is Adam Jones, I dunno, ME that JG would bust that particular move?

74 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:46 pm

[72] This is better than last night

75 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:49 pm

First hit out of the 3 spot tonight from Nunez. Now that. You fucking jackass!

76 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:51 pm

I've never seen a baseball player with worse instincts than Eduardo nunez

77 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:55 pm

All is forgiven, Swish. ; )

78 Bronx Boy in NC   ~  Apr 11, 2012 9:55 pm

Swish!

79 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 11, 2012 10:00 pm

Did Joe Girardi just tacitly admit that Eduardo Nunez can't field?

80 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 11, 2012 10:02 pm

[79] Can't field, can't run. Maybe he can come in to issue IBB'S?

81 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 11, 2012 10:07 pm

All rise.
Off day tomorrow.
