My old Italian grandmother, who dressed somewhat like Rose did, but never read "romance novels", made lots of different kinds of homemade pasta. Except for orecchiette - hats as we called them - because she always had a hard time shaping them exactly right. I can't wait to try this recipe out. Thanks, Alex!

Now if I could only find a place nearby that served homemade pasta for lunch . . .
