I've always had a soft spot for bands with female leads (No Doubt, Garbage, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, etc.), and it all goes back to Debbie Harry and Blondie.

For some reason the Pretenders never really did it for me. Never could quite figure out why not...

[5] Too each his own. Those first two albums were transcendent during a not so great American rock & roll time. Interesting that the band broke through first in England.

Saw the Pretenders, though at the Tower Theater in Phillie. It was a great show.
