Joe G. giving Swish the proverbial 'extra day'. I believe he is available to PH.... if it stops raining.

[2] He has good numbers against Lester on Saturdays.

Boom! Well done Teix.

Props to Bobby V there for pulling Padilla and avoiding the inevitable HBP.

When Teixeira went yard I was pretty sure we had them.

The Yanks are stuck with Soriano next year too, right? But I guess he won't have to be the closer, and we'll be positively overflowing with Eighth Inning Guys.

Man, 17 (now 18) comments on a Yankees/Red Sox game thread. Tells you something about the state of the rivalry.

18) Saturday night in the summer, right? But yeah, lousy ending. Thought the Yanks might pull it out. C.C. wasn't very good.

Got to share my fandom with the Pittsburgh family that are in town. Flipping back and forth from the Olympics we saw Teix's homer, yay! and Curtis' worst defensive play as a Yankee as far as I remember. WT*! How did he #$#%@# miss that!

2) they would have been better off having CC hit, even vs Lester
