2. Swisher RF
3. Cano 2B
4. A-Rod 3B
5. Granderson CF
6. Martin C
7. Chavez 1B
8. Ichiro LF
9. Nunez SS

Never mind me. I'm just upstarting.

2 Greg G   ~  Sep 21, 2012 5:41 pm

The O's draw the Red Sox, and the Yanks ge the A's. Aargh!

I remember CC having trouble agains the A's for a while, and he suspected that it was that he grew up in the area and put pressure on himself with lots of friends and fam in the stands.

CC needs to set the tone and shut them down or else they have to get Ichiro on the mound. Suzuki has done it all the last few days, and I believe he is going to add a No-No to his resume if we put him in as a starter.

Let's kick the crap out of those Athletics and their supporters!!!

3 mhoward120   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:16 pm

No one can doubt that there is something wrong with Carston

4 mhoward120   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:19 pm

Thank goodness, maybe not all that much

5 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:24 pm

Well, that went poorly.

6 seamus   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:29 pm

nice play ICHIRO!

7 seamus   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:37 pm

bats are not looking good. parker does look filthy right now but i'd hope to see better at bats.

8 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:38 pm

[7] They'll get him.
The change-up is so deceptive, but they'll catch on.

9 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:39 pm

Yankees against a changeup artist is a terrible matchup for them.

10 OldYanksFan   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:40 pm

I hope whatever is wrong with CC ends with the season. He's signed for what, another 4 years?

11 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:44 pm

Got him!

12 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:44 pm

[10] I know, eight batters, four strike outs, no hits. This has got to stop!

13 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:45 pm

Good hustle, Eric!

14 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:45 pm

Close! That lone replay before the break looked like he may have been safe.

15 mhoward120   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:45 pm

Why does this feel like an early post-season game? Why do they ALL feel this way this year?

16 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:48 pm

Ya' just can't predict.....
Never seen that.

17 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:49 pm

Highlight reel!

18 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:49 pm

Well well.
Can't predict baseball.

19 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:49 pm

hmm

20 mhoward120   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:49 pm

Guaranteed ESPY nominee!

21 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:50 pm

Shoulda taken second!

22 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:52 pm

You know Soriano would have made the play: he's an expert at untucking!

23 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 21, 2012 6:56 pm

Eat shit, blue. That was shin high ya' blind bastard!

24 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:03 pm

Two pop-ups and another K.
I don't know what's wrong with CC, but somebody has to do something.

25 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:16 pm

I'm pretty excited by that sac fly, which is an indicator of my Curtis expectations these days.

26 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:22 pm

Oh, not another strikeout.
Come on, CC, pull yourself together!

27 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:23 pm

And another.

28 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:26 pm

And yet another.

This is just awful. [3] it's indubitable: there's something badly wrong with him.

29 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:29 pm

[28] Heh. He does have a BB.

30 Ken Arneson   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:31 pm

I can't wait to see what Ichiro does on his third hit of the night. This is very entertaining.

31 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:31 pm

[29] Yeah, but I'm going to milk this for all it's worth.

32 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:33 pm

I feel like tonight was the best chance that trainwreck in Boston had of winning a game this weekend

33 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:34 pm

Bollocks!

34 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:36 pm

GET HIM OUT OF THERE NOW!

35 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:37 pm

O's leading Boston. Still can't root for the Red Sox.

36 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:40 pm

DFA CC

37 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:41 pm

Number nine.

[35] I'm rooting for them. It's not pleasant. Because they really suck.

38 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:43 pm

Okay, signs of life in Fenway... Come on, Dusty, whack one!
Man, that's not a good feeling.

[36] I'm in. Because [10] we can't deal with another four years of this kind of striking everybody out garbage.

39 monkeypants   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:44 pm

[38] It's sad, really.

40 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:46 pm

Yay, Dusty!!!

41 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:47 pm

Sox tied it

42 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:48 pm

[39] Speaking of sad: Jeter has 203 sad hits. I must admit that if my crystal ball had shown me a 203 in his future, I would have guessed it was his batting average.

43 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:48 pm
44 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:49 pm

[38] A walk and a hit in the same game! What a bum.

45 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:50 pm

95 mph! Gas face!

46 OldYanksFan   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:52 pm

RI... has you noticed it looks like CC has gained a bit of weight?

47 monkeypants   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:53 pm

[42] I just don't understand why any athlete would keep going out and humiliating himself like that.

48 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:55 pm

[47] In all seriousness, I have to imagine he finishes third in the MVP race, which is pretty amazing

49 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:55 pm

Red Sox are fucking useless

50 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:56 pm

[46] Hm, not really. Does you really think so?

51 OldYanksFan   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:58 pm

Anyone notice how baggy and wrinkled CC's uniform is?
Really unattractive...

52 OldYanksFan   ~  Sep 21, 2012 7:59 pm

Pasta diving Jeter
NICE play by Nunez!

53 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:00 pm

So that's what he can do.

54 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:16 pm

Nunez really had to charge that.

55 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:16 pm

Ruh roh

56 mhoward120   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:17 pm

Thanks for jinxing the game, Kaye

57 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:18 pm

Yes!

58 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:19 pm

Uh oh.

59 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:19 pm

Okay. Moving on.

60 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:20 pm

[57] Oh, man, I am almost two minutes behind! I have to reload.

61 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:27 pm

Nuney-y!

62 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:27 pm

SB!

63 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:28 pm

Tightrope time.

64 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:29 pm

Hm, Sori.
I definitely would leave CC in for the ninth.

65 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:31 pm

Dayam, Parker has some stuff. But CC came through, will Soriano? This has to be the most important appearance by Untuck this year. Crossing everything.

66 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:32 pm

Whoa, adrenaline rush.

67 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:34 pm

Oh, motherfucker.

68 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:34 pm

What a fucking disaster

69 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:35 pm

Are you fucking kidding me! Came up from the basement to that. Mother Fucker!

70 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:36 pm

[69] Yes, exactly. Only possible description.

71 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:37 pm

Aw shit

72 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:37 pm

Yankees *really* need to win in the bottom of the ninth.

73 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:42 pm

Goddamn Cocoa Crisp to hell.

74 mhoward120   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:43 pm

Ugly

75 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:45 pm

I was at that game in Oakland.

Yankees eventually lost when Joe decided to play MATCHUPS in extra innings.

76 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:46 pm

i heard the scary fly ball out in the car.

then...i heard the scarier fly ball that wasn't an out...

77 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:46 pm

MO

78 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:48 pm

Bottom of the ninth heroics.

79 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:48 pm

Yankees need to walk off here before Joe has a chance to start managing.

80 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:48 pm

[72] Has there been a walk off this year, not counting extras?

81 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:48 pm

Walk-off opportunity, is all it is.

D-Rob for the tenth if.

82 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:51 pm

i'm sure it was mentioned earlier in the thread, but i guess cc had no problems throwing to coltrane.

83 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:51 pm

[78] [81] that's what i was thinking.

84 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:52 pm

Swisher's smile a little unnerving this evening.

85 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:52 pm

we need to score off this little shit.

86 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:53 pm

The home team is due for celebratory dancekapade. And by the way, Soriano. Way to fuck up one of CC's best starts of the year.

87 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:55 pm

NOW he gets a hit! ; )

88 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:56 pm

Steal?

89 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:56 pm

I really don't fucking like this.

90 rbj   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:56 pm

[86 ] Obviously CC's fault.

91 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:56 pm

nomatchupsnomatchupsnomatchupsnomatchups

92 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:57 pm

Granderson is heading for a BA in the .220's by years end.

93 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:58 pm

Kurtis blow - the K-king. : (

94 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 8:58 pm

[88] always. even when there's no one on base.

95 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:03 pm

I'm kind of shocked we won 3 extra inning games.

96 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:07 pm

nailed.

golden sombrero.

97 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:07 pm

Okay, this is probably it. I mean, I don't like our chances of holding them with the rest of the bullpen. We'd have to be lucky.

98 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:09 pm

That'll do.

99 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:10 pm

[97] Holy shit! There it is!

100 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:10 pm

YAHOOOOOO!

Can't predict baseball.

Coltrane turns around a kind of blue night!

102 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:11 pm

fucking BEAUTIFUL!!!

A RUN SUPREME!!!

COLTRANE!!!

103 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:11 pm

Oh FUCK YES. I didn't come round the comments cause I didn't want to jinx CC and then when Sori blew it I had to keep away, but now, NOW, RUSSELL!

104 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:12 pm

[102] My favorite thing!

105 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:13 pm

But..the O's win.

106 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:16 pm

ball tumor won. still 1 game up.

rays with back-to-back games with double digit runs...

107 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:17 pm

[106] But the Rays are toast.

Listen, if we stay one up on the Orioles while they play Boston and we play Oakland, I'll take that. The roles will reverse, and then we can gain a little breathing room.

108 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:20 pm

[107] oh, i totally know. i just like double-digits : )

[and their offense has been cruddy...]

brew crew makin' a run at this thing! harvey wallbangers

109 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:21 pm

[107] actually, it's rye toast.

110 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:22 pm

Wait, why is it rye toast? Are they Jewish?

111 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:22 pm

Oh, never mind, I get it.

Yeesh.

112 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:23 pm

Hey, thelarmis, I am going to Madison, WI for Yom Kippur.

(Or anyway, during Yom Kippur, not for any atonement reason.)

113 Boatzilla   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:24 pm

Shit, I go to make some coffee and I missed the cherry. I thought it was gonna be one of those crappy extra inning games.

Woo-hoo.

So that's what 3 blown saves for Soriano, or is it 4. Mo usually blows 3 a year.....but almost never in the postseason.

114 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:26 pm

[112] ooh, very lucky!

what's the beer i like from there? there were 2 really good ones, iirc. can't think of the name...

travel safely and enjoy!

[ps - i forgive you.]

115 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:28 pm

justin maxwell has 17 homers for the 'stros. good for him!

116 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:28 pm

[114] Oh, the one with the cow, right? Damn, I can't remember. It will come to me.

117 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:33 pm

[116] i don't know if it was that was. man, it's on the tip of tongue! yeah, there were two of them. i might think of it, too, but let me know what you come up with!

there's a great beer on the gulf, in florida, called Grayton Pale Ale. might imbibe my first beer in two weeks tonight...

118 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:33 pm

Hard to believe this team has a 6 game winning streak.

119 RIYank   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:35 pm

[117] New something?

120 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:42 pm

[119] got it.

Lakefront Ale in Milwaukee. there was also Lake Louie, which was very good. the latter might be the one with the cow, can't remember...

121 thelarmis   ~  Sep 21, 2012 9:43 pm

i don't think i liked the one with the cow. the 2 i mentioned are different, both good. i like the lakefront better than the lake louie, but they were both fine brews.
