Bang Zoom

Three dingers off three pitches in different spots. The first one reminded me of George Brett vs. Goose Gossage. Sandoval didn’t hit a rainmaker but goddamn, turn on the high cheese from Verlander? You could retire on a homer like that. Then to hit two more?

Daaaaaaaamn.

I'd love to hear theories on the Yankees collapse. There is a ton of random events in Baseball, but for so many of our guys to shit the bed, I think there is a reason.

Tipping our caps at Detroit is ridiculous. They aren't that good a team.

Second 3-HR game at PacBell, ever.
The first was Kevin Elster, in the first ever game at that park in 2000, while he was on the Dodgers- last year of his career after having not played in the majors in 1999.

How random is that?

Not only did Panda hit 2 facing Verlander, but the third was vs. Albuquerque, who, according to Diane's preview, has never given up a reg. season HR. A worthy performance by Sandoval to join Babe, Reggie, and Pujols in the 3 HR in a Serious game club.
