Warming Up

Bringing back Hiroki, losing Sori? Shifting outfielders? Chasing Torii Hunter? Ah, yes, the Hot Stove is here.

Torii seems like kind of a dildo to me.

Putting Brett in CF should have been done when Grandy came over, and would have been if not for Veteran Worship Syndrome.

"According to Yankees president Randy Levine, who negotiated the Soriano deal, Boras believes Soriano can command a contract in the neighborhood of four years and $60 million"

I know I always underestimate the 'value' of players, but 4/$60m seems like pure insanity. Could Mo have gotten that at 32? And Sori ain't no Mo.

A 2.78 career ERA is very nice, but not crazy good for a BP guy. At 42, Mo's career ERA is 2.21. DRob is at 2.95.

Does anyone think Sori will get more then 3/$40m?
