Blue Jay Way

Man, the Jays are getting easier to dislike by the minute (all they need to do is sign Jose Valverde, right?). Looks like they’re bringing back John Gibbons, a bona fide red ass, to manage the team next year.

Man I feel so disinterested with the hot-stove this year, every year since 2009 I've been getting less-and-less interested. Is it because the Knicks are now more relevant? Is it because the Giants occupy a lot of my time and space?

Come February, however, I do start getting excited about the baseball season.

Actually, I think it's because all I hear from the Yanks these days is how they have to tighten up the purse strings. I understand they can't make a big splashy move with all the contracts on the books, and the moves they do make are dull. The Pineda move was exciting till you started hearing how fat he'd gotten, then all you kept thinking about was disaster would be happening soon. And it did.

So if the Blue Jays are doing something, well, good for them...good for their fans...and good for the AL East. The Yanks and Red Sox are no longer the Kings and Queens of AL East, respectively. The Yanks are trying to sell 49% of YES to that dickhead Murdoch, the team is no longer a baseball team...it's a fortune 500 company that has a really good company baseball team. And what do you hear from fortune 500 companies - we need to reduce our operating cost, we need to cut unnecessary expenditures, we have a hiring freeze, we are still making record profits but we need to show 15% year-after-year growth to our shareholders, blah, blah.

Hey Randy Levine, ARGO FUCK YOURSELF!!!

I hear you. But I do think the Yanks have been a Fortune 500 company for a long, long time. And, I think you mean "uninterested." "Disinterested" means that you are impartial.

Uninterested, right.

It's crazy that Murdoch could own 80% of the YES network in three years. I guess this means that the NY Post won't ever criticize the Yankee organization again. And how much longer before the Post wiretaps Jeter and we get to see the pics that girls are always sexting him? That should help the ..ahem... circulation.

[5] Long delayed weeping sighting!!

If that asshole Murdoch is in any way associated with the Yankees then I may be out for good. Everyone has limits.
