Waiting on a Friend

This report from Ken Rosenthal says that there is a good chance Ichiro will be back in the Bronx next year. I’d like to watch him play for the Yanks again. He may be old but he’s the King of Style.

Meanwhile, they are also waiting on that old goat Youk. Vat Gives, Youk? You’ve got $12 million on the table, Hoss. Nu?

You know - I agree. He is a very entertaining player. I know RF is a power spot and he's never going to provide the production that someone like Swisher did, but he's fun to watch do his thing. Maybe it'll grow old after awhile - after a few more ground ball outs or whatever - but I say let it ride and see how it goes.

This might actually get me to watch next year. I'm completely confident that he will give us what we got at the end of the season. And I will make the audacious claim that he will hit 25 homers in a full season at YS2. Then I'll go one further and claim that he won't become a complete and utter black hole of choking strikeouts when the post-season rolls around again.

[2] Will an utter black hole of groundouts be better? When Ichiro is bad, he is really bad.

Not wanting to hijack the funny yankee stadium story thread, I'll post here. Maybe Jazz will see this:

Not wanting to work in the glass works factory (only job available in the area)...

He was from Corning, I assume?
