Puma signed with the Rangers, via David Pinto's site.

[1] yeah, $10mil + $1mil buyout. way more than the yanks would be willing to spend on Fat Elvis...and rightfully so, at this point.

i do hope Puma has a good year though.

Since the Steelers's ain't it I don't give much of a shit. I'll still watch to root against the Pats, Ravens, Broncos, Colts, Bengals, Seahawks, and 49ers, So that leaves only 3 NFC teams for me. lol.... Around 12:30 this afternoon I thought how nice it would be if there was a baseball game on in a half hour. No Berkman? Good. Who will be the next old fogey to be bandied about?

The first game was decent. This second one is a blowout so not so much fun to watch.

I've always liked Fat Elvis. Didn't think there was much of a chance of him joining the Yanks, though.

[4] I think the Yanks would end up asking him to do too much. There's probably a good reason he's spent nearly his entire career in the AL except for a few months here. I hate Cashman is seemingly pursuing old players to fill the bench while cheaper talent wastes away in the minors. I'm surmising that he is trying to save money to get under their threshold, but considering what Berkman signed for, it makes absolutely no sense beyond him being RH hitter.
