The Tide is High

The Tide vs. The Irish.

Oh, and locally, the Knicks host the Celtics.

Go Irish! It's been 24 years since my family gave a shit about the National Championship game. I am spoiled post season wise b/c I love the Yankees and the Steelers. Tonight is a different animal. I can't wait.

I really, really want Notre Dame to win. Don't think they will, though.

I would like Notre Dame to win, but yeah [2] I think Alabama will beat them, comfortably.

3) They are doing just that to start.

I hate Notre Dame and I'm happy watching them be exposed. That said, not happy enough to watch the 2nd half of this turkey.

What a fucking disaster. Eh, it's been a fun season for Notre Dame. I don't think they lose so badly if there weren't 50+ days between games. Their lack of tackling in the 1st quarter alone was mind boggling.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!

Not much rooting interest in this game. It's like having to pick between Kevin Millar or Curt Schilling as your brother-in-law. You don't want either but you definitely don't want Schilling. Millar wins 42-14!

I think college sports is wretched exploitation of young athletes, and college football super boring in particular. And Nick Saban looks and acts like a sociopath (from an article I read at the Times). Sorry, Bama Yankee.

So...I really miss baseball. :(

[9] That came out sounding a bit harsh..point is, when do pitchers and catchers report??

[10] Five long, cold weeks.

But the World Baseball Classic starts March 2. I'm surprised MLBN isn't airing the qualifying games. Or maybe I'm not looking at the right times?

[9] Lol, yeah maybe you were a little harsh on Coach Saban...but he does go WAY over the top sometimes. But hey, I can't argue with the results. He has built a dynasty in Tuscaloosa that rivals what the Yankees were doing in the late 90's. And that is almost unheard of in today's modern day college football.

For the record, I understand why folks outside of Alabama have grown tired of all the Bama/SEC winning. But, if you are a Yankee fan you have to understand it...people love to hate the Yankees. And it is certainly not because they lose, but because they are always in a position to win it year in and year out. I told someone when we hired Nick Saban that I hoped that he could return Bama back to being the New York Yankees of college football (of course, that guy was a Braves fan and he gave me a "look", but he knew what I was talking about. lol). And, love him or hate him, there is no doubt that Coach Saban has done exactly that...

Just chiming in late to say Roll Tide! Its nice to have number 15 in the barn. I told all my friemds this game would decide who gets to be the Yankees. Only Bama and Yankee fans know the feeling of their teams being the ultimate at what they do.
