welcome to life as "Trade Bait" Joba, Ivan, and Phil!

Tex is a slow starter too, so his swing should be coming around by mid-July. Ouch!

They shoot horses, don't they?

Man, poor Andy. He didn't sign up for this.

Season hasn't started yet . . . the Yanks won 90+ games in 2005 with a non-existent rotation, and in 2006 with a non-existent outfield, just to cite two examples . . . The rotation and bullpen look awfully good, maybe it is their turn to carry the team, instead of the offense doing all the heavy lifting.

I wonder if the D-backs would be willing to trade Chavez with their huge corner oversupply?

I would love that move .... but Morneau isn't much healthier than Pronk.

OK, season doesn't start until June 21st. Hey, they're called the boys of summer, right?

Well, it's going to be an awesome Heat-Thunder NBA Finals at least!

Casey Kotchman has had a nice spring...

I bet we're looking at a platoon of Dan Johnson and Youkilis at first base, with either Nunez or Mustelier playing third base against left-handers.

You wanna kick my dog, while you're here?

This is as good a reason as any for the Yanks to just press the reset button and plant the seeds for a helluva 2014 and so on.

Well at least we've got the Sky is Falling--no, really, the season is kaput--business out of the way. Now, we can just hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Glad my back up team is the Tigers.

The World Baseball Classic...it's FAN-tastic!

The nice thing about these injuries, though, is they reveal the depth of the Yankees' organizational lack of depth. Once again, there is no AAAA corner player down on the farm who can be plugged into 1B for a coupla months?
