Well Hells Bells for Wells!

Sometimes the Yankees are just luckless (and it's happening with more and more frequency lately). They hit three absolute bombs against Scherzer and somehow only get one run.

Phew. Key 3rd out catch saving 2 runs. Watch those wrists, Brett!

Just a long afternoon of cruddiness with some flashes of hope sprinkled in here and there.

Glad I decided to skip the Yankees trip to Tigertown this year.

Actually the only good news to a 1-4 start is that this makeshift Offense hasn't been horrible (except for Cano). Youk looks good, Wells isn't done yet, and Hafner isn't dead.

The Pitching has sucked.
Hughes is gone after this year, along with Joba.
We gotta hope that CC, Andy and Hiroki can get us/keep us at .500.

The makeshift offense has scored 17 runs in 5 games. 17 runs is third worst in the AL. Their 3.25 R/G heading into todays game was second worst in the league, better only than lowly Houston.

I'm not convinced yet the offense is anything better than horrible.
