Short Order Cooked

Justin Masterson out-dueled David Phelps as the Indians beat the Yanks in about 2 1/2 hours this afternoon in Cleveland. Masterson went the distance and a Jason Kipnis solo home run in the first was all the scoring. Tidy.

Final Score: Indians 1, Yanks 0.

Game 2 will start shortly after 3 p.m.

Never mind the disappointment:

Let’s Go Yank-ees!

Hey, wait, not fair. I haven't even had a chance to google the guys who were in the game one lineup (Corban who?) , and they're getting ready to start game two already?!
I wanna do-over!

Tip of the Derby hat to Masterson. Phelps pitched well too.

Vidal Nuno? Trying for the reverse Karma effect since the Indians released him? Let's go Yankee Rookie!

Damn. Found the pigs [10].

The Yankees scored six runs while I was driving home. (John and Suzyn were happy.)

[7] it's hugely disappointing, IMO

ok guys, dilemma time...I have tickets in hand for tomorrow night, which appears to be Grandy's return, BUT Knicks Game 4 is at 7 o'clock. I'm torn.

Mike Wilbon is KILLING Joba on PTI regarding the Mo situation. lol....

21 rbj   ~  May 13, 2013 4:53 pm

[20] Switched over to watch that. Agree 100%. Surprised Joba hasn't been traded to the Astros or Marlins for a bucket of used balls already.

This is a rather unusual Save Opportunity.

What a performance by the Rail Riders!

24 rbj   ~  May 13, 2013 5:12 pm

Congratulations to Vidal Nuno on his first big league win. And to Adam Warren for his first big league save.

25 rbj   ~  May 13, 2013 5:23 pm

Oh, and to Corban Joseph on his first big league hit.
