1. Suzuki CF

2. Nix SS

3. Cano DH

4. Wells RF

5. Almonte LF

6. Overbay 1B

7. Adams 2B

8. Gonzalez 3B

9. Romine C

Yeah, I don't think we'll need much imagination to imagine homers.

Everyone please imagine solo homers.

Whoever just imagined that double play: good work!

Oh, a Hughes start. Suddenly I don't feel so bad about missing the game.

4 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 1:05 pm

I wonder if stadium attendance goes way down when Hughes pitches.

4) It probably doesn't help.

6 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 1:24 pm

It's a solo!

7 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 27, 2013 1:25 pm

Hey, a home run. Go figure.

8 rbj   ~  Jun 27, 2013 1:30 pm

Phil gave up a gopher ball? Alert the media!

9 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 1:32 pm

The rest of the Yankees appear to be in a hurry.

I refuse to be the first one to use the words "Quality Start".

11 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 1:44 pm

Five pitches.
Unbelievable.

12 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 1:45 pm

(Derek Holland threw five pitches in the sixth inning.)

Seems like one of those years for Hughes. Even when he doesn't suck he gets no run support.

14 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 1:52 pm

Yeah. I mean, he kind of did suck, but only two runs in seven innings, can't complain.

[12] Convene the kangaroo court!

Yankees starters need to figure out a way to give up negative runs so the team can win 0 to -1

16 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 1:58 pm

Oh, good. A play.

17 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:08 pm

2 runs, 8 innings: that it a good day.

18 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:09 pm

Okay, I concede. I'll give him credit.

Sittin on the plane. On the way to NY...

20 thelarmis   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:11 pm

Yeah, Phil did alright...

Somewhat shocking.

21 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:14 pm

Good lord.
Could someone at least put the ball in play?

22 thelarmis   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:14 pm

We have TWO hits.

Not so shocking...

23 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:14 pm

[19] Dude, turn the damn thing off. You know the rules.

24 thelarmis   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:16 pm

Presto in for the 9th.

And I'm off to Yankeeland!

25 thelarmis   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:17 pm

Still on the ground in ATL

I'm out

26 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:28 pm

Well, if we score three runs here it will have been a pretty awesome game after all.

27 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:31 pm

Yeesh.
Okay, now it will be even more awesome...

28 RIYank   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:34 pm

Would have been.

29 rbj   ~  Jun 27, 2013 2:37 pm

Two bleeping hits and two bleeping walks. Just when Phil phinally pitches a good game.

Two Hits? Against a guy with an ERA higher than Phil's? Trending towards .500. Hope they still have a winning record at the All Star game. While the castoffs and misfits did well for all these months, their warts are showing all over the place. Maybe I'm just having one of those days but I'm feeling discouraged about the Yanks right now.
