Million Dollar Movie
bringing up baby
Wonderful, hysterical. Two quickies: (1) it's comedically so close to an Abbott & Costello routine; (2) Wasn't Kate beautiful? Somebody posted yesterday that he had a crush on Carole Lombard; my heart was lost to Kate when I was a mere child, watching her old movies on Channel 9 after school.
She was funny but too tight for my taste, crush-wise. Now, Lauren Bacall? Sure. And even better, the mysterious and sensuous Ingrid Bergman.
Hard to bellieve that LB was 19 years old when she told Bogie how to whistle. She was simply wow. Ingrid always seemed a little too sad for me.
Great bit. I was laughing at my desk.
No Audrey fans here? To me, she's a goddess.
4) I never had the hots for her, but I seem to be in the minority there. 3) Yeah, I think the remoteness, the sadness was part of the attraction.
