A couple of odd facts show up here, I thought. One is how clueless we are about how to find WAR for a relief pitcher -- BR and BP are miles apart on it. The other was Mariano's BABIP-against from season to season: it fluctuates like crazy. Even the most consistent pitcher in the history of baseball doesn't have a consistent BABIP-against. Can't predict baseball.

Interesting that FIP and xFIP misses something about Mo since they are always higher than his ERA.
