I'm a total sucker for this guy so I thought it was a really good speech, I mean, as far as self-congratulatory acceptance speeches go.
I also loved him in Death of a Salesman, which I recall getting panned. Or maybe it was the Paul Simon thing that got panned, and I loved. I'm a total sucker for him too.

The shrillness is what kills me not his message. Everything about him just seems so heavy and unbearable. But I like watching a lot of his movies.

Thought he was terrific in Death of a Salesman. And so did Miller.

Oddly, he's always relaxed and goofy when he comes on Letterman. I think he actually blew a bubble out of his nose once.
