Josh Wilker (of Cardboard Gods) had a great comment about that article yesterday on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Josh_Wilker/status/397476261880004608

"I like that Patti Smith was at Rockaway Beach when she learned that Lou Reed died. It means Joey, Johnny and Dee Dee were there, too." - Josh Wilker

a few of us were talking about Lou Reed the day after he died, and a co-worker recommended Patti Smith's memoir from a few years ago. I like how she writes, and now I have to read her book.
