It is good to read an interview with Dr. King himself. Most of the reflections written today are penned by people who are too young to remember those days. He was a man of his time and who is to say what he would think about things today. Most pundits take their own thoughts and ascribe them to him. I saw in the Daily News today a column saying what MLK would think of the common core education standards. It seems, at least to me, that every year they have to invent something new to say to make MLK relevant to the present year. Not necessary, his legacy speaks for itself.
