Hey, Team, I've been out of the loop, how's our ball club doing?

5 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 7:32 pm

Yay, a run!

6 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 7:33 pm

[4] The offense is on milk cartons.

7 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 7:41 pm

Ugh.

8 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 7:47 pm

HOORAY

10 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 7:55 pm

McCann! Darn, they backed up the throw to third

11 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 7:57 pm

That was nice hitting to watch. He stayed back nicely on that pitch and slapped it into left field for three runs.

Let's keep this up.

(I've been out of it so long I barely recognize this team. I do recall hearing about this McCann fellow, though.)

He looked very safe initially, but I'm not so sure upon replay

I don't think that D-Day was fought so we could watch baseball.

Ffs.

14 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:13 pm

The hell was that?

15 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:14 pm

[13] missed that. Jeez. Utterly stupid. Kay?

16 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:17 pm

[15] Precisely.

[13] Whaddaya mean?? Clearly stated at the Nuremburg Rallies that baseball was a Judeo-Commnunist degenerate game that the Nazis pledged to destroy! Kay is always on point with his historical references :)

18 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:20 pm

[16] Why is that such an easy guess?

19 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:21 pm

Bit of a break

20 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:26 pm

This may not be the best Yankee team ever but man, being a Royals fan must really suck. Boring, disappointing teams year after year after year.

21 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:28 pm

[17] It makes one wince, doesn't it?

22 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:30 pm

[20] Yeah, but I'll bet their concession stands have some good barbecue.

23 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:31 pm

(Coney just asked who could have predicted something or other. Whenever I hear that phrase, all I hear is, "No one could have predicted the breach of the levees.")

24 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:32 pm

[22] Great jazz tradition too!

Cone and Kay taking steady shots at the Royals organization all game.

Yankees defense is just the fucking shits

27 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:53 pm

Chase for the 7th? He's been a reliever.

28 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 8:58 pm

Ok, the quip about swinging the bat like they want to experience Kansas CIty nightlife was funny.

29 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:00 pm

Billy Butler finely upholding the fat-KC-1Bman tradition of John Mayberry and Bye Bye Balboni.

30 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:07 pm

[29] Bob Hamelin too

31 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:09 pm

Sweet. Have a seat Chase, pen will get you your first ML win.

32 thelarmis   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:09 pm

Go Chase!

33 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:21 pm

Francisley Bueno?? That is an incredible cool name.

34 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:23 pm

Damn. Hope that doesn't come back to bite them.

35 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:28 pm

99 on the outside corner? Good Golly Miss Molly...

36 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:29 pm

37 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:30 pm

That's a nasty slider he just threw.

41 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:41 pm

Oh, ffs!

42 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:42 pm

Just after Cone says, "The only danger [involved in a hit and run], obviously, would be a line drive."

43 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:49 pm

Mo time! Er, Ro time!

44 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:54 pm

46 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:59 pm

47 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 9:59 pm

Wow! I'm amazed that stayed in the park. I thought that was gone for sure.

48 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 10:01 pm

49 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 10:01 pm

Throw a strike

50 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 6, 2014 10:02 pm

Nice little win, Team.

51 rbj   ~  Jun 6, 2014 10:03 pm

Yes! Congrats Chase on you first ML win!

52 RIYank   ~  Jun 6, 2014 10:10 pm

Hey gang. I was out and had to watch bits and pieces on my phone. What I saw, I liked!
