5 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:16 pm

That was fucking awful from McCann. Just fucking awful.

6 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:17 pm

The final two outs on two swings.

Way to keep the pressure on, guys.

7 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:17 pm

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

8 coleman42   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:20 pm

Rangers up 2-1 in 3rd period

9 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:20 pm

God, enough with those fucking drums.

10 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:21 pm

wow, 2-0 already? I didn't expect that.

11 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:26 pm

who is that in the yes booth with singleton? I wasn't paying attention but going to commercial his voice didn't sound familiar.

12 coleman42   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:29 pm

Bob Lorenz, the post game guy

13 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:30 pm

[12] ah ok, thanks.

14 coleman42   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:35 pm

Rangers tied at 2

15 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:38 pm

Let's go Kings!

16 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:38 pm

nice job gardy!

17 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:38 pm

Nicely done Gritner!

18 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:42 pm

What the fuck kind of base running was that?

19 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:42 pm

Captain!

20 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:42 pm

[18] Shitty?

21 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:44 pm

yeesh, glad we scored but kind of wasted a chance to blow this open.

22 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:44 pm

That was fucking lame.

23 MSM35   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:45 pm

Something else Kelly Johnson doesn't do well.

24 coleman42   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:46 pm

Rangers being outplayed, except for Lundqvist

25 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:48 pm

the drums make me think i'm watching a high school football game.

26 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:52 pm

i like how on that potential gapper, there was zero gap in left center.

27 coleman42   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:56 pm

I'm not really into hockey that much, but Kings look bigger, stronger, faster than Rangers. NYR will be lucky to win this

28 coleman42   ~  Jun 13, 2014 9:58 pm

Into OT in LA

29 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:07 pm

I gotta say, this ump seems to have a generous strike zone. But I'll take it.

30 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:07 pm

phelps doing well so far.

31 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:11 pm

Roberts looked like a vaudevillian on that swing.

32 coleman42   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:12 pm

[31] more like an old-timers swing

33 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:18 pm

Yes.

34 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:22 pm

ha, ichiro always makes thing look interesting.

35 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:25 pm

alright! got out of that. They hit him a little hard though so hopefully he settles before the bottom of the 5th.

36 coleman42   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:29 pm

Rangers playing better in OT

37 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:30 pm

this pitcher for oakland has really settled in. Frustrating we didn't get more runs in that second inning.

38 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:44 pm

phew. ok, more runs please!

39 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:44 pm

Phelps-y!!!

40 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:45 pm

I would ask for the score truck but i feel we need something more earthy for this particular team. Maybe an electric run bicycle.

41 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:46 pm

[40] or maybe that's the issue with this team...

42 coleman42   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:47 pm

Into 2nd OT for LA-NY.GO Rangers!

43 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:51 pm

Blargh ... the Yankees really failed to put this one away.

44 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:51 pm

Let's go LA!!!

45 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:54 pm

this guy does have a big strike zone. I like it when we're pitching mostly.

46 MSM35   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:55 pm

100 pitches. Too late for a young man named Sonny to be out.

47 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:56 pm

ugly. ok, let's go phelpsy.

48 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 10:57 pm

[46] well said. or at least, i'd prefer since he is now pitching well that he retire for the night.

49 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:04 pm

i mean, i know his control hasn't been great the last couple of innings. But Phelps is still throwing a 1 hitter. I don't think i'd look to pull him just yet. Not when he is only at 86 pitches.

50 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:05 pm

Double play!!

51 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:05 pm

beautiful!

52 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:06 pm

Nice work!

Wow, that was nice.

53 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:07 pm

nice. looked off to a rough start there but Phelpsy really got it done.

And that double play was well executed. I was impressed by both Teix's handling of it and Phelps stretch back to his left.

54 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:09 pm

[53] Yes. (Though I'll admit I was a bit nervous at Teix's throw, he seemed to lollypop it just a tad. Also, I think I'm still traumatized from years of watching Giambi make a fiasco of that play.)

55 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:13 pm

that was scary

56 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:14 pm

I think my post got moderated? Just thinking that the hit to Gardy's head was scary.

[54] oh my, giambi haha.

57 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:21 pm

Phelpsy's high pitch count on the year is 109. He has looked pretty good this inning but damn, that was hit well.

58 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:24 pm

Two pitches, out number three.

Very nice.

59 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:24 pm

nice job dellin. ok, down to two innings. we can do this!

60 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:25 pm

[57] Yeah, he left it right out over the dish.

61 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:27 pm

GO CRAZY KINGS!!!!!!!

62 MSM35   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:29 pm

Gee that was a wonderful game. Players giving it everything they had. Wow!

63 coleman42   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:30 pm

Now I can focus on this game.Lundqvist may have played his best game tonight

64 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:30 pm

teix is a slow man haha.

65 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:35 pm

hit to the wrong part of the park there. let's go ichiro!

66 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:36 pm

I love that hit.

67 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:36 pm

nice! that's two off of the pitcher's glove for ichiro.

68 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:39 pm

Wow!!!

How did Ichiro score??

69 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:39 pm

Ichi-go-Go-GO!!!

70 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:39 pm

yes! ichiro scoring on that was awesome!

71 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:40 pm

[68] ball got away from catcher on throw to plate.

72 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:40 pm

Someone was out of position. Shouldn't the pitcher have been backing up the catcher? Or the first baseman?

No reason for Ichiro to score on that play.

73 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:40 pm

[68] Pitcher backed up a throw from RF, ball bounced like it was a throw from the LF, long way to run ...

74 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:42 pm

[72] that's true, but as cult says [73], it bounced in a weird direction.

75 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:42 pm

Squeeeeee!

76 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:42 pm

God!

Look at all these beautiful hits!

Nice and easy, right back up the middle!

77 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:42 pm

pile on!

78 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:43 pm

[73] [74] Ok, fair enough.

79 MSM35   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:43 pm

Kelly Johnson got a hit. Is time to say good night?

80 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:44 pm

Wow. Nice fucking catch.

81 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:44 pm

Bah!

82 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:44 pm

damn. that was a nice catch. Such a shame as that was some nice hitting from Gardy.

83 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:45 pm

[79] i can't! still mopping the floors. :)

84 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2014 11:53 pm

When you can totally confuse both the hitter AND your catcher ... YOU have a nasty breaking ball!

85 seamus   ~  Jun 14, 2014 12:10 am

This is the first i've gotten to see Ramirez. Two impressive outs so far.

86 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 14, 2014 12:13 am

Nice win, Team.

87 seamus   ~  Jun 14, 2014 12:14 am

nice job kid! very nice win overall. g'night all!

88 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 14, 2014 12:17 am
