Only Suzukis are allowed to get hits today.

3 RIYank   ~  Jul 5, 2014 1:59 pm

Um.
Or, singles to Suzuki.

Surprisingly positive subjectivity over C.C.'s numbers and impact on the Yanks. He's been better as a Yank than anywhere else (obviously because of 2009) outside of the last couple of years.

In my opinion, not that it matters more than anyone else, Yankees do not need to sell their assets short. This is a rebuild situation and nothing more. They've pushed off the future long enough; build your team in-house and stop looking for short-term fixes with junkie-trades. Hyphen, hyphen, hyphen!

Phelps dabbling too much at the corners

Pitcher scouting report at game start said MLB left-handed hitters batting .385 against Twins starter. That should improve today.

Well that was an ordeal. Just bought an iPad air, and the darn thing wasn't letting me sign in with my Apple ID even though I could log in on the computer. Had to set up all the security info. Ugh. my HP TouchPad was easier.

[7] It will be worth your trouble.

Bad ump call on Ichiro steal attempt!

12 rbj   ~  Jul 5, 2014 2:43 pm

I'm guessing we can't hate Phelps today?

13 rbj   ~  Jul 5, 2014 3:12 pm

Damn, missed opportunity.

14 RIYank   ~  Jul 5, 2014 3:13 pm

[12] Yeah, it's true. I'm just going to watch soccer because my karma is all wrong for this game.

15 rbj   ~  Jul 5, 2014 3:15 pm

Aw crap.

16 rbj   ~  Jul 5, 2014 3:31 pm

Me flashing the leather!

22 rbj   ~  Jul 5, 2014 3:52 pm

I swear this team is trying to give me an ulcer and a heart attack at the same time.

23 coleman42   ~  Jul 5, 2014 4:01 pm

I really loved Soriano, but...

24 MSM35   ~  Jul 5, 2014 4:03 pm

Isn't it past time that Sori went home. He has made plenty of money and his six kids need a full time Popi.

25 coleman42   ~  Jul 5, 2014 4:05 pm

...that was his chance to win the game...

26 RIYank   ~  Jul 5, 2014 4:10 pm

Hm, so now I can't hate Shawn Kelley either?
This game is a barren source of entertainment.

27 rbj   ~  Jul 5, 2014 4:10 pm

Free baseball!

28 coleman42   ~  Jul 5, 2014 4:19 pm

No more hating, only sadness, offset by occasional happiness

29 RIYank   ~  Jul 5, 2014 4:25 pm

[28] Doesn't work for me. Can't do baseball melancholia.

30 RIYank   ~  Jul 5, 2014 4:31 pm

Can't even hate Matt Thornton!

31 rbj   ~  Jul 5, 2014 4:33 pm

Just saw something on my flipboard home page about Tulowitski being amenable to a trade. Will someone call Cashman, please? (Just thinking ahead, you know.)

Watching Cone perfect game on YES, July 18, 1999. In second inning, Rickey Ledee and Jeter hit home runs against Javy Vasquez of the Expos, Jeter's went about 410 ft to left center. Before the HR, he was hitting .374 and it was his 16th HR of the year. Ah, the good old days!
