Hard to Earn: Small Wonder

Man, the kid was good. Stands up tall on the mound, works quickly, has poise. Even when he got into trouble, he didn’t rattle. Shane Greene gave the Yanks exactly what they needed on Saturday afternoon as they beat the Orioles, 3-0.

Now, if only Chase Whitley can do likewise today.

Never mind the break:

Let’s Go Yank-ees!

Broome and Centre Sts., looking downtown towards Foley Square and the municipal and state buildings. Since you were talking about Greene and you chose a spot near SoHo as your pic, I at first thought that was Broome and Green Sts.; off by only a few blocks. Woulda-coulda-shoulda! >;)

I'm going to Germany in a couple of weeks. Think this is worth a beer or two?

Congrats to Germany.

Was rooting for Team Messi but Germany looked like the stronger side. Outstanding goal. One of the best in the tournament. It's a good reflection on the U.S. team that we could hang with the champs. Go soccer!

We'll i do get to join a game thread after all. Real hot, triple digits in San Antonio. The close to the first, national prime time tv and the Yankees have to throw Chase Whitely out there?

if he were so graceful, he wouldn't have had to turn himself around to catch that routine fly.

I'm sorry, but there's no way on this fucking planet that James Brown's "story" is "rated PG-13" ...

32 Chyll Will   ~  Jul 13, 2014 9:32 pm

[31] There's no way Ray Charles' story is rated PG-13 either, but there it is. Hollywood will always find a way.
