Very hard for Jewish fans of the Nats. 1st game won't end before Yom Kippur, 2nd will be just about over before the holiday ends. Hard on the Lerner family who will be in synagogue. But otoh, they're following Sandy K. Easy fast to those who observe and great baseball watching to those who don't!

Dang, nice snag, Chen.

Verlander's got 95 pitches through 5. Can he give them 2 more innings?

Back to Aikido.

Tigers' pen blows (leads and games).

Brutal loss for the Tigers.

Holy cow, the shit talking with the Dodgers and Cards was GREAT. Great because it wasn't between the pitcher and hitter but the catcher and the on deck hitter. And great that Puig and Wainwright had words and ironed it out nicely whereas Adrain Gonzalez--that fink--set the fire under Yaddie's Red Ass. Never seen Molina so upset. That was great. He reminds me of what the lovechild of Edward G Robinson and James Remar would look like. Seeing the replays of Molina yelling, all I could hear is Mel Blanc doing his Edward G.

I'm officially changing my playoff wishes. The only way it can go now is clear. Giants Dodgers, cause the Giants are the only team who can match this level of intensity for the Dodgers. And to top it off? Got to beat the Angels of course. That would be boffo, nu?

Maybe we can stop mentioning Kershaw in the same breath as the great Sandy Koufax.

Wow, what a collapse then rally then loss by the Dodgers.

And this kid Ventura is NASTY for the Royals so far. Man, what a great day of baseball.

Maybe Ventura is the next Bob Gibson?

I've only caught the last few innings of this kid. Holy smokes!

12 Ara Just Fair   ~  Oct 3, 2014 11:14 pm

Hot damn. What a double play!

13 MSM35   ~  Oct 3, 2014 11:16 pm

Playoff baseball is the best. Wish they would start earlier and include more teams. Purists be damned!

Kaboom!

Holland for the bottom of the 11th.

Ventura was amazing to watch.

[13] I think one third (10) of the teams is enough. Also, in my industry, with the opposite schedule, I like the later games : )

Would be crazy if it's a Giants-Royals WS, huh? (I don't think it will be, but who knows...)

18 thelarmis   ~  Oct 4, 2014 12:22 am

I can't stand Ianetta.

One more out...

[17] Take back Sept. from football. Eight teams in each league with the division winners getting all home games in the first round. The NBA and the NHL have it right. After the PED era records mean nothing.

20 Ara Just Fair   ~  Oct 4, 2014 12:28 am

Love watching the angels lose. : )

21 thelarmis   ~  Oct 4, 2014 12:30 am

wow. The The Angels Angels (The Los Angeles Angels is as redundant as PIN *number*) lost both home games. cool.

[19] i don't know a thing about other sports.

22 thelarmis   ~  Oct 4, 2014 12:31 am

[20] cheers to that!

23 thelarmis   ~  Oct 4, 2014 12:34 am

[21] ATM *machine*

24 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Oct 4, 2014 5:29 am

[23] RBIs!

Great day of baseball, catching up now. Alex B, I'm with you on the Dodgers-Cards action. I can't stand St. Louis though so I'm all in with Puig, Kershaw (what happened?!?) and Donnie Baseball.
