there's a shot of the 1987 Topps series, which i know is a favorite of several Banterers.

Jafee's profile on Moose is worth reading too. Mikey Moose is an absolute Hall of Famer. Hell, I'd LOVE to have him in our rotation next season!

Nice. I agree, Raines and Moose for the Hall! I wish SI would clean up their interface though. The header takes up half the page for me, even when I scroll down. Makes it less fun to read their site.

Did yinz see the trade that we apparently just made? Prado and Phelps to Miami for Jones and Eovaldi. Seems like a real downgrade at 2b. And Eovaldi's WHIP is frightening.

This only works for me if they are freeing up space to bring on some better talent.

seamus - I completely agree on both accounts. I read a few of the articles at SI and found it to be rather frustrating. I won't be going back to that site... Also, I *love* Prado. I'm guessing we save money and will bring up Refsnyder and Pirela. Eovaldi is young with a lot of upside and has some strong sanermetric value. Who knows how he'll fare in the AL East, however...

[6] glad i'm not alone on that SI thing. Bugs me to no end. I hope we give the youngsters a shot at this point. Better then throwing out a .240 hitting veteran imo.
