Day-um, bogeying the 18th to drop into a tie with Tiger for the lowest ever.

Clean first.

3 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:12 pm

Very nice!

We better frickin' score...

8 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:20 pm

[6] with nobody out, it'll be difficult...

9 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:21 pm

God, that fucking stupid strike zone on ESPN.

God, is that annoying.

Who the fuck is the intended audience for that thing?

10 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:21 pm

Bunt to third, Mark.

11 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:22 pm

A run!

A lead!

Let's savor it while we can...

12 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:24 pm

Yay-Rod!

15 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:25 pm

I was about to remark on the fierce look in his eye.

Boom!

16 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:26 pm

God, it's such a relief to see he can still hit.

I mean, who knows what will be, but this is just great to see. At least one bright spot so far.

17 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:28 pm

Wow!!

Chase!

18 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:28 pm

That's Headley!

19 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:28 pm

That was some shot.

20 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:29 pm

24 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:37 pm

there's strike 3!

25 MSM35   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:39 pm

Cashman is a genius. Go Yanks!

26 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:42 pm

Was listening to the Boston radio feed on the train, as they cut to commercial after the 1st the mic caught Joe Castiglione (Bos announcer) muttering 'Oh Jeez..' under his breath. :)

27 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:42 pm

beautiful.

28 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:43 pm

That was one of the better 1st innings I've seen. : )

29 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:47 pm

[28] How did 'Krukie' and Mr. Congenial react on E$PN?

30 coleman42   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:50 pm

OMG I missed the first inning! Had to be reminded to watch by my grandson who messaged me.

31 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:54 pm

nice play, chase.

32 coleman42   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:54 pm

"Chased" it down

33 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 12, 2015 7:55 pm

Nice play.

34 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:01 pm

Much better third, Tanaka.

35 randym77   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:03 pm

Laptop at 42 pitches through 2 innings.

36 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:05 pm

a-rod with big cheers.

4-letter network of course don't show the walkup...

37 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:06 pm

how do they not show his 3-run double as a replay?!

feh.

38 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:14 pm

Yankees Mt Rushmore has to be expanded to more than four. At least six. If not eight.

39 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:16 pm

[38] Babe, Lou, Joe D, Mick, Jeter, Mo?

40 randym77   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:16 pm

[38] Yup. The correct answer is Mickey Mantle AND Mariano Rivera.

41 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:17 pm

strike this fucking fat piece of shit OUT!

42 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:18 pm

crap.

43 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:19 pm

double crap.

44 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:19 pm

[39] Don't forget Yogi. 10 rings is nothing to sneeze at.

45 randym77   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:20 pm

Jeez.

46 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:20 pm

shut up, florida evans.

47 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:21 pm

jesus.

catch the fucking ball!

48 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:22 pm

Hmm, not liking this revoltin' development.

49 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:22 pm

[44] Wow, can't believe I forgot him..
As a fan I'd want Reggie and Donnie Baseball there too but they fall a level short of those other guys.

50 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:27 pm

me no likey these walks.

51 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:29 pm

[49] Unless it's because he wasn't a Yankee long enough, no way Reggie falls short of Derek.

52 randym77   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:29 pm

Shut up, Schill. There's a game going on.

53 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:30 pm

Oh great, we're back to clown ball.

54 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:30 pm

omg. terrible defense.

not liking didi...at all.

55 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:31 pm

[51] Exactly that reason. Only 5 seasons just not enough..he'll obviously live forever in Yankee lore.

56 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:31 pm

OMG.

What in the living FUCK is wrong with these people?

57 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:31 pm

[55] All right, fair enough. :)

58 randym77   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:32 pm

Poor Didi. The throw was bad, I think he was distracted by the runner sliding into him.

59 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:32 pm

I'm going to cry.

60 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:32 pm

Be sure of one? Nah.

61 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:32 pm

bogus.

62 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:32 pm

Are we going to lose this game too?

63 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:33 pm

[59] I'm already nervous they're going to lose this game..

64 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:33 pm

[51] Yeah, it's length of service. Otherwise, Rickey. Leaving it to those automatically thought of as Yankees. Reggie also had the A's.

65 coleman42   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:33 pm

Perhaps Didi is just dumb, or has limited intensity, ability to focus and adapt.

66 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:34 pm

buster says: tanaka has only 2 swings and misses all game. 70+ pitches...

67 randym77   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:34 pm

Drew got the error.

68 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:36 pm

Needed that k

69 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:36 pm

finally puts someone away!

get outta this without any more runs scored.

70 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:37 pm

Nice pitch.

71 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:37 pm

good.

another swinging k.

72 coleman42   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:38 pm

Ranking the anti-Yankee anncrs tonight, Kruk worst, other guy next worse, schilling least bad.

73 coleman42   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:40 pm

[66] Tanaka has said publicly that he's trying to pitch to contact this year. It's the reason he switched to 2-seamer. He doesn't care about swings and misses.

74 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:41 pm

[64] Rickey. We sure have seen some talent come through the Bronx, huh?

75 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:42 pm

Don't get picked off, Didi...

76 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:42 pm

Rejoice!

77 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:43 pm

Nice hit.

And nice base-running, Didi.

78 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:43 pm

[74] Even after getting in the HOF Rickey is STILL underrated..what a player.

[72] Unlistenable. I listen to the Spanish or Japanese feeds for the Sunday night games. (I can't speak Spanish.)

79 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:44 pm

YAAYYY!!!

80 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:45 pm

YES!!!

get those runs back!

81 coleman42   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:45 pm

Love those singles

82 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:45 pm

Knock Buchshitz out of the game!

[74] A-yup.

83 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:46 pm

[73] true. good point.

[78] i love rickey. so does rickey!

84 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:47 pm

ooh. so close.

i love the laptop keeps failing to backup the bases.

85 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:47 pm

The thing with Rickey is, if you are going left fielder it's Ted, but if you are constructing a line up, Rickey has to lead off.

86 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:48 pm

i loves it!

87 coleman42   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:48 pm

Ditto

88 randym77   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:48 pm

Hah. Shift happens.

89 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:49 pm

DOUBLE DIGITS!!

90 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:51 pm

Buh-bye!

91 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:51 pm

[85] Thinking about Rickey's patented snatch-catch.

Dude was some kind of character and man, was he good at the baseball.

92 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:52 pm

[85] Bonds over Ted. Mays in center, Babe in right.

93 rbj   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:55 pm

[92] A plethora of riches!

Anyway Mad Men is up, last series I'm interested in. Night all.

94 coleman42   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:55 pm

[92] Ty Cobb?

95 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:57 pm

i find myself now looking forward to alex's a-b's. he's got a nice swing. digging the loud cheers for the centaur. whoda thunk it?!

96 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 8:59 pm

another good ab for alex!

I lived the Mad Men era. Show NOT an accurate reflection of what I saw, starting in 1965. I've repeatedly tried to get into that show but found it uninteresting. Best thing is the costumes, right on. And as Forrest would say: "That's all I've got to say about that."

102 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:08 pm

[99] Aye, Aye weeping. I've got Cannonball Adderly on in the background here at ACME Investigations, he's got the cosmic grooves to keep the Yankees bats in synch.

103 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:08 pm

i don't like how tanaka keeps losing batters after getting ahead 10-3.

i also don't like seeing B hats in YS... : /

104 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:09 pm

ok. again: 0-2

put. him. away.

NOW!

105 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:09 pm

i wanna see a replay...

107 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:29 pm

some solid contact, but 3 outs for carpenter.

108 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:31 pm

tanaka's era only down to an even 7.00

109 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:32 pm

a-rod batting an even 3.00!

110 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:32 pm

So I'm finally back from the great white north. Listened to the first half of the game on the way home. Nice to have something fun finally, huh?

111 coleman42   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:37 pm

What can the anncrs say now?

112 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:42 pm

bases loaded walk for alex.

another good AB!

still nobody out...

113 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:43 pm

the dirty dozen!

chase = dare i say "professional hitter"?!

114 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:44 pm

12-4. Good. Nice to see we still have a lead.

Good work, OK!

Meanwhile, Mad Men is hilarious.

115 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:45 pm

[110] Indeed!

116 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:45 pm

finally - some nice baserunning!

13-4, 2nd & 3rd, 1 out.

117 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:45 pm

what are they chanting?

118 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:46 pm

oh crap. nice catch by the kid who really needs to change his name...

119 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:47 pm

[114] it was all thelarmis, i got caught up at work!

[114] I stopped watching Mad Men when they took that huge break..am sure the second Mrs. Draper is now in foxy 70s mode?

120 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:48 pm

after a half-dozen, we have a half-dozen walks and a bakers dozen of hits/runs/rbi.

121 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:48 pm

Well, that will happen.

122 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:49 pm

i've never heard of Mad Men...

123 Boatzilla   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:49 pm

First game I've watch much this year. A sign?

That ball was trapped in CF, BTW. Replay…Joe, we want to reach 20.

124 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:49 pm

he who shall remain nameless with a harmless flyout.

i'm not confident with davies against Fat Fuk, but i guess now's a good time to test it out...

131 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:53 pm

yup, that was the culprit.

note to self: make sure to spell fuck correctly.

135 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 9:59 pm

[134] Yup. i'm a HUGE Mookie Wilson fan. not only is he the ONLY Mookie, but certainly should be in baseball. if there's gonna be another one, best not be on the Shit Sox with the 4-letter network drooling all over him.

i played with Dickey Betts once. he called me up to sit in with his band. i don't remember what song[s] we played...

136 Boatzilla   ~  Apr 12, 2015 10:05 pm

[134] Cool.

Back at the ranch, NHK has turned the game off. Softball blow out rule, I guess.

Meanwhile the ESPN guys are referencing "Cheers" not "Seinfeld," which is ancient, but "Cheers," can "All In The Family" be far behind.

137 thelarmis   ~  Apr 12, 2015 10:13 pm

ok, it's official.

i can't fucking stand didi.

151 coleman42   ~  Apr 12, 2015 10:23 pm

A HR is a HR, whether it's 320 or 520ft. Guys, if it's in the stands, it counts. Attention ESPN anncrs, please read the Banter tonight.
