Coincidence; just bought a box of b&W'S at Costco. Will try the recipe and compare (though I'm a lousy baker).

The secret glory of these (or the secret shame, depending how well your pants fit today) is that they're really little cakes masquerading as cookies. Says it right there in the recipe: not dough. Batter.

Love them. There's a bakery in Wyckoff that made the best. Had them all the time growing up in northern Jersey. Quick Google search and I think it was the Wyckoff Quality Bakery, which sadly is now closed.

Google Holland Farms bakery. It's a little outfit in New Hartford (yes, Upstate), that will ship what they call "Half Moons" anywhere. When I was a little guy growing up in Oneida County, they were TO. DIE. FOR.

I was just back there for a family function in September, and they still conquer all. Trust me.
