Marry me, Meredith.

In other new, OBJ is the Madden 15 cover.

3 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 6:12 pm

I'll take that.

4 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 6:14 pm

And that as well.

5 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 6:19 pm

Good hustle, Ellsbury!

6 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 6:19 pm

On the Mark!

7 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 6:20 pm

Good job, Mark

8 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 6:22 pm

Nice work, McCann.

Now keep going, guys, don't pull a last night!

9 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 6:25 pm

Not good.

10 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 6:29 pm

Hoo boy.

11 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 6:37 pm

This game is not going to end 2-1

12 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 6:39 pm

Take that, shift!

13 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 6:39 pm

Why in the fuck were the shifting on Ellsbury?

How bizarre.

14 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 6:39 pm

Shift that bitches.

15 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 6:40 pm

It seems we are of one mind on the shift.

16 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 6:40 pm

Oh my God.

What the fuck was that?

17 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 6:40 pm

Heh.
That was funny.

18 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 6:40 pm

You got lucky, Didi

19 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 6:41 pm

Gregorius has been doing so well of late, too.

20 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 6:42 pm

[19] Great range.

21 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 6:43 pm

Oh, Brett.

22 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 6:43 pm

[20] :)

23 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 6:44 pm

That was fucking low.

24 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 6:52 pm

God.

25 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 6:53 pm

Ugh.

26 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 6:54 pm

That was not a crisp double play.

But it's done.

27 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 13, 2015 6:56 pm

Rays radio guys: 'Carlos Beltran out in right field really is looking like a DH these days..' :(

28 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 13, 2015 6:57 pm

What's up with Posada? Just trying to sell some books I guess? (A-Rod, Clemens comments)

29 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 7:07 pm

[28] Well, it's not entirely out of character for him, is it?

I'm not the least surprised.

30 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 7:10 pm

Drew is no Nettles.

31 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 7:30 pm

[29] No, I'm not surprised either.

Not surprised about Warren, either.
Well, let's win this damn thing anyway.

32 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 7:37 pm

In a race between Alex and Carlos, who wins?

The turtle.

33 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 7:39 pm

I love this, beating the shift.

34 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 7:41 pm

Goddamnit!

35 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 7:59 pm

What???
Ellsbury doesn't make outs. What's this?

36 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 8:00 pm

I have to say, this is the kind of game I was expecting to see a whole lot of this year. Pitching not quite good enough, hitting not quite good enough, bad base running squandering what slim opportunities arise.
I can take a game or two of it, though, because of how well these guys played the last three weeks.

37 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 8:01 pm

[35] I'm so good, I don't want to embarrass other players by constantly getting on base.

38 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  May 13, 2015 8:15 pm

Hahahahah!

39 MSM35   ~  May 13, 2015 8:23 pm

I was hoping for a split in Tampa. Two trips in the early season is bad scheduling. Maybe the club can rally or win tomorrow.

40 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 8:27 pm

Once again the offense had the pitcher on the ropes in the first and failed to knock him out.

41 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 8:29 pm

Warren pitched surprisingly well, too.

42 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 8:33 pm

Why is the closer up when you are down a run?

43 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 13, 2015 8:37 pm

Cashman has done some great things (Pineda trade, bullpen staffing) but Stephen Drew and Carlos Beltran have just been complete strike-em-outs..

44 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 8:40 pm

[43] Beltran is actually hitting .319 over the past two weeks.
And [42] (good comment number for a comment on a closer) it's not a bad idea. Trailing by a run late is a pretty high-leverage situation. Better than bringing him in for a three-out save up by 3...

45 MSM35   ~  May 13, 2015 8:41 pm

Closer needs work.

46 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 13, 2015 8:48 pm

[44] Watching him in the field makes me sad, he's just aged..

47 RIYank   ~  May 13, 2015 8:48 pm

Enough with the not-getting-on-base thing, Jacoby! It's getting old.

48 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 8:50 pm

[47] Sorry. I blame my allergies.

49 rbj   ~  May 13, 2015 8:52 pm

Blergh. Night all.
