Round One: Jays

umpy

All you need to know about yesterday’s fait accompli is that after Jose Bautista hit a home run, a fan threw it back on the field and accidentally hit Brett Gardner in the back.

Shut out.

Yup. That kind of a weekend for the Yankees. I did get a new lawnmower though, and it was faster than the old one by about three minutes (takes less than half an hour to actually mow the lawn, so it is significant.) Hey, that's something interesting in an otherwise dull August weekend.

What a wasted weekend. We're vacationing in Highland Lakes NJ so plenty of hikes while listening to the games. Sunday night fireworks over the lake while sitting in a canoe under the fireworks was a great way to forget yankee troubles. Let's hope the team has hit bottom. But it raises real concerns for playoffs if they can't produce anything against good pitching.

It certainly seems as if Teix has the red-ass lately. And yes, I'm quoting Jim Bouton describing Lou Piniella.

4) Although he was smiling to reporters after the game. But I like someone there having a redass. Got to get healthy vs. the Indians and then show and prove this weekend up in Toronto.
