My Dude Garrett Jones is the odd man out again.

2 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 6:29 pm

I like this not giving up runs in the first.

3 Ara Just Fair   ~  Aug 12, 2015 6:33 pm

No doubter.

4 Ara Just Fair   ~  Aug 12, 2015 6:44 pm

I love Didi. What a fucking play. Out!

5 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 6:45 pm

Wow.

What kind of name is 'Urshela', anyway?

6 coleman42   ~  Aug 12, 2015 6:45 pm

Full extension, turn and flip by Didi gets it done

7 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 6:47 pm

Notpastadivingdidi!

8 Chyll Will   ~  Aug 12, 2015 6:53 pm

[5] Sounds like somebody got a little too tipsy watching Dr. No...

9 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:04 pm

[8] Or Cashino Royale!

10 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:05 pm

C'mon, CC

11 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:07 pm

I hope this works out, but watching CC in trouble is agony

12 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:07 pm

Yay!

13 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:08 pm

There ya go!

14 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:08 pm

Wow, that was a BIG GIDP.

15 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:15 pm

I remember Salazar, he's good. With what we've seen with both starting and relief pitching, why is Cleveland in last place?

16 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:23 pm

CC is an escape artist this evening.

17 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:23 pm

Phew

18 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:25 pm

Red Sox starter E-Rod and some of what passes for a relief corps didn't manage to escape this afternoon, though. The Marlins' catcher, one J. T. Realmuto, picked up five RBI in the sixth inning, a team record. Miami put up 14 against New England... uh, Boston.

The Blue Jays appear to have their game well in hand, though, huh?

19 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:33 pm

I know Michael Kay re-signed with ESPN radio for three years, but where is he now on YES?

20 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:38 pm

Uh oh.
I don't think he's gonna squeeze out of this one, somehow.

21 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:40 pm

Okay, bad strategy, good for us.
So at least the possibility of a really nasty inning is greatly reduced.

22 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:41 pm

[19] still around. I guess it's vacation time

23 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:42 pm

Ugh.
Well, I didn't really think CC was going to pitch a shutout.
Contain the damage, Big Man.

24 coleman42   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:42 pm

CC, we can still read your lips...

25 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:43 pm

And indeed he does!

26 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:44 pm

[22] it blows my mind that a baseball announcer takes a summer vacation, they got this thing called the off-season.

27 MSM35   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:48 pm

Is it possible to hit the ball on a hit and run?

28 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:48 pm

CC gives a good effective start with not much stuff, and gives up one run. Before Gardner's now erased single, the Yankees have ONE HIT! What's the issue here?

29 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:52 pm

[28] I think I've figured it out. I have the exact diagnosis...

30 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:55 pm

Sigh. Here we go again.

31 coleman42   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:56 pm

Is CC trying to prove he can get out of tough situations tonight? This is ridiculous.

32 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 12, 2015 7:58 pm

[28] check that...

33 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:03 pm

Le sigh

Nice, Didi!

34 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:03 pm

wow! DiDi!

35 coleman42   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:04 pm

Didi the Cannon

36 Alex Belth   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:04 pm

Oh My, Blackberries Pie.

What a play by Didi. Degree of difficulty-LARGE.

Well done!

37 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:07 pm

[28] I think the diagnosis is bat poisoning by facing two knuckleballers within one week.

38 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:09 pm

[37] Oh, no, it's simple. (I just forgot.)
It's that our hitting sucks.

Yeah, I didn't an advanced degree in baseball for nothing, ya know.

39 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:10 pm

Whoa, Carlos.
Okay, I think Didi has a shot here, a chance to do something really useful without his glove on. Come on, rook!

40 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:11 pm

Oy.
Yeah, probably not a good chance to tag and score on that one, huh?

41 RIYank   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:13 pm

One of those nights.
We're having a whole lot of them.

42 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:19 pm

Chasen Shreve: fine bespoke items in sterling silver.
(At least what it reminds me of)

43 thelarmis   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:20 pm

Wow. We suck at scoring runs...

44 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:23 pm

[43] I think Kay took the bats with him on vacation.

45 MSM35   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:24 pm

When do the sabermetrics kick in?

46 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:33 pm

[45] do not take the brown sabermetrics.

47 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:38 pm

That last pitch looked like a cookie for Alex

48 MSM35   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:41 pm

If TBA beats the Yanks tomorrow they are really in trouble.

49 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:53 pm

Awful lot of infield outs tonight, if I'm not mistaken.

50 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 8:54 pm

Rally time!

51 rbj   ~  Aug 12, 2015 9:06 pm

Pathetic

52 MSM35   ~  Aug 12, 2015 9:06 pm

See ya!

53 thelarmis   ~  Aug 12, 2015 9:08 pm

Yup, we suck.

Goodbye, 1st place... : (
