How High the Moon?

lancement-21

Luis Severino was good today and his counterpart wasn’t bad either. But the Yanks arouse from their offensive slumber to stitch together half a dozen runs on their way to beating the White Sox, 6-1.

It wasn’t thrilling but it was a nice way to spend part of a Sunday afternoon. The Bombers’ are three games away from clinching a wildcard spot, and as we all know, three is the magic number.

You know, if Luis Severino starts that game, I won’t riff, will you?

Meanwhile, La Moon sure am sweet tonight.

Meet the Mets? Gotta feel good for David Wright.

I would not be surprised if Sevi starts the "one game," but I think if Tank is healthy Joey-Joe-Joe will go with him. If not, I put my money on CC.

Starting CC in that game would almost surely be the biggest mistake of Girardi's career.

Hey, look at this. A side of Yogi I knew nothing about.

If Joe were to short-leash Sevi for the play-in, and leave Tanaka in place for an ALDS G1, that would be cool. Unless it blew up in everyone's face. Long winter, that.

Whoever starts the "one game" wouldn't appear in the ALDS until game 3 assuming standard rest.

Damn shame Eovaldi is out of the picture.
