Creepin’ (Score Bard Remix)

Credit: https://ya-webdesign.com/imgdownload.html

With major apologies to Stevie Wonder, all the former denizens of Baseball Toaster and basically everyone on Planet Earth dealing firsthand with our pandemic, I nevertheless bring you a throwback to lighter times…

(Ahem…)
 —-
I can hear you sayin’
you’ll stay six feet away and
When will it be
That we can creep…
Back to our teams
 —-
On the beach we’re sittin’
Observing social distancin’
When will it be
We get to creep…
Back to our teams
 —-
Watch our teams…
—-
When I’m sleep at night beybey
I contemplate some herd immunity
When you sleep at night beybey…
I wonder do I creep into your dreams
Or could it be I sleep alone cuz of quarantine…
 —-
Opening’s complicated,
Uh, uh, uh, ah-choo!!!
How players are compensated,
As you can see,
Still too soon to creep…
Back to our teams
 —-
Watch our teams…

No apologies required for this former Baseball Toaster denizen. Man, just reading the words "Baseball Toaster" was enough to put a smile on my face! The remix sealed it there. Thanks, Chyll - hope you and yours are all safe and well!

[1] We are both safe and well, hope everyone has a similar experience.

{2] Just checking to see if the line still works, bud >;)

[3] The line's still good! I'm currently going through my garage and throwing out all my stuff from 25 years ago. I haven't thrown out anything from 10-15 years ago yet.

My proposal to open the season:
Agree to prorated salaries including loss of ticket, concessions and souvenir sales.
In exchange:
Free agency after four years
Both the luxury tax and qualify offer go away after this season.
MLBPA won’t contest MiLB contraction. FA after only three years.

RBJ: [9] Interesting ideas, but I'd go in a little different direction: agree to prorate salaries and include gate sales and connected items in the calculations (even though this is a salary cap as the union states).
Free agency after 4 years OR AGE 26, whichever comes first.
Luxury tax goes away, but keep an opption for one year modelled on the NFL: pay equal to the average of the 5 highest paid players at the position.
Instead of contraction, go to expansion and even up the number of teams to 32. Rearrange the schedule so that more games are played in the team's time zone. With 32 teams, you can arrange for 8 divisions of 4. Each division gets a winner into the playoffs, and 4 wild cards from among the rest of the 28 remaining teams.

Thanks Chyll! Was fun singing your lyrics. Hadn't listened to that track for decades.
