Good call, Alex. Blurred Lines always reminds me of "Funky Town" by Lipps Inc.. Because I was a little kid and heard "Funky Town" before "Got To Give It Up", it hadn't occurred to me before that "Funky Town" was a direct descendant of M-Gaye. Interesting that Robin Thicke went for a tempo between the two. That and the descending bass line just like F-Town makes me think he was actually referencing both of them.
